Now featured in the ProJo
By John McDaid | Wednesday, 13 June 2007
Thrilled to report that hard deadlines is now listed on the community links page of the Providence Journal's Portsmouth news page.
While the ProJo's Portsmouth reporter Gina Macris usually beats me in posting the writeups of Town meetings, I have never cheated and looked at her excellent coverage before mine goes live. But you can. And should. She rocks.
And while you're on the ProJo site, be sure to check out Sheila Lennon's blog, Subterranean Homepage News. She runs a cool, eclectic mix of stuff, was an early blogger here in RI, and is still going strong.

Secret weapon
Hi, Eileen...
Have to admit that I depend on my Mac for my m@d v1d30 $k1!!z. Shoot live or capture the video from Cox Cable with my camcorder, then use iMovie to import to the computer. Any minor clipping at the beginning and end can be done in iMovie, which can then compress it. I've been using a low-rez option, but YouTube is moving to a new standard called H.264 which will make for better videos that are still small enough to deal with. Then you just create a free YouTube account and upload away.
Cheers.

ps. As I always try to do, I openly acknowledge my Mac/Apple bias. You certainly can do this with Windows Movie Maker, but life is too short.

You've convinced me!
My son can have the Windows Dell laptop. I'm gonna get me one of those Mac/Apples. Then a camcorder. THEN you can explain the rest to me.
Slowly.
One step at a time. LOL!
Happy Fathers' Day!
